Kate’s Point

Kate’s Point, originally called Nake Khind, sits about 6–8 km from Mahabaleshwar town on Duchess Road between Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani, at an altitude of approximately 1,280–1,290 m above sea level
From this point, you get a sweeping ~270° view over the Krishna Valley, Dhom Dam, Balakwadi Dam, and the Sahyadri range, including peaks like Kamalgadh, Panda­vgadh, and Mandardeo
The viewpoint area includes Echo Point, Elephant’s Head Point, and Needle Hole Point, known for natural rock formations resembling an elephant’s trunk or a hole (“needle hole”)
